Welcome to the home page of Local # 7. Local 7, International
Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, is a proud affiliate of
the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, one
of the oldest trade unions. Founded in 1865, the International Union
represents skilled craftworkers throughout Canada and the United States.
Local 7 received its Charter from the International Union in 1889 and
is now, like its parent, more than 100 years old! Local 7 represents
bricklayers, stone and marble masons, tile setters, and terrazzo and
mosaic workers throughout its jurisdiction. In its more than 100 year
tenure, with the help, support and solidarity of its membership, Local
7 has successfully strived to improve the wages, working conditions,
safety and benefits of its members. The .50 cents per hour, 50 hour,
5 ½ day standard work week of 1907 is long gone!
Please feel free to peruse some of our pages to find more information
about Local 7 and it's members.
